Shoe Envy

A couple of days ago I embarked on a journey to find a new pair of trainers. I never really was a shoe kinda girl but in the past couple of months I've come to realise how big a role they play in an outfit. To add to that apparently you can judge 90% of people's personalities just by the shoes they wear (but  I wouldn't take that too seriously).

The pair of shoes I purchased were Gourmet 35 Lite SP from the shoe brand 'Size?'.  I have never brought a pair of shoes from there until now and would not hesitate to make another purchase. The shoes were reduced from £105 to £40.00 which is a reduction that could not have made me happier (seriously I think I'm in love).
They are currently having an amazing sale so I would definitely advise having a look.

It has a primarily blue body with a black silhouette; the shoe is white-soled and has black laces.

Apart from being one of the coolest shoes I've purchased they are also one of the most comfortable. The inside of the shoe is well cushioned and provides a snug fit. I think these shoes will go well with both a casual outfit and something a little more dressy. (look out for videos and posts including them!)

OOTD/Winter Night Out

About a week ago, I went out for a lovely Sunday afternoon/evening and I just had to share this outfit with you guys! I also have a video up on my channel all about the outfit and a makeup look to go with it:Winter Night Out/ Outfit and Makeup

I am wearing a black skater skirt which I got from +Forever 21 . I paired this with my black racer back top from +River Island . Then on my feet I decided to wear my knee high socks; I have wanted to try this look out for ages and finally decided to give it a go and I love it! (The Knee High Socks were also from +Forever 21 ). On my feet I wore my good old Chelsea boots from Office. Since it is currently bitterly cold in England I finished off my outfit with a Grey Long Coat from Gap.

I am definitely going to be wearing more knee high socks because they create such a fun and flirty look.

If you want to have a better look at the outfit, head over to my YouTube channel.

Those Days...

Latest Video: A Winter Haul: http://youtu.be/R7vT2O5zCx0

So I am currently sitting on my living room floor with my cup of chai tea and a very cosy blanket because today is one of 'those days'. I've had to take a day off because I've been feeling a little fatigued and what not but don't worry I'm already feeling well rested.

Even though I am at home today I refuse to let it be wasted, so I thought I would complete some work that's been over due and update my blog by talking about how to make 'those days' still very productive!

1. Get out of bed!
As much as you want to stay in bed all curled up the longer you sleep the more yucky you feel,  you'll already start to feel better if you do. I'd recommend having a nice hot shower or a relaxing bath to wake yourself up and feel refreshed.

2. Make yourself a hot beverage
If you live somewhere cold like I do a hot beverage will ward off all the winter chills. My favourite right now is the chai tea, ooo it tastes so good! I also recently discovered something called 'chocolate tea' which I'm yet to try out, hopefully it goes down well.

3. Get Comfortable
I mean no one wants to sit at their desk tapping/writing away (that's probably why your at home!) but something needs to get done. So grab yourself a nice warm blanket, put on some warm fuzzy socks and plant your booty on the couch and in front of that TV. Oh and make sure you remember the remote no one likes to get up to change the channel.

4. Get to Work
Now your ready to get something done, if your work is computer based you can just sit on your laptop and work on it at your own pace whilst enjoying some TV; my favourite show right now is Fashion Bloggers on E!

BodyShop SkinCare Product Review

Today's post is on a skincare product I brought from the +The Body Shop UK . About two weeks ago I decided to try out the tea tree foam cleanser. It is a 150ml bottle and costs £5.00.

Using this product I found it applied easily to the face, as it came out in foam form there was no need to mix the product with water, which makes it a much quicker process although I am not too big a fan of it's smell - it's rather minty//herbal.
My first impression of the cleanser was that it was very gentle on the skin but I did find it left my skin feeling quite dry.
This is what makes me think that this product may be for someone with more of an oily skin type but nonetheless I continued to use it because I felt like my skin was a bit worn from a lot of 'full face' makeup days. During my two week period of using this product I found that sometimes I would be left with a stinging sensation on my face, but this isn't the first time I have experienced it when using a product for my face because I do have very sensitive skin.

I would recommend this product for someone who doesn't have very sensitive skin and maybe has more excess oils.

For this products I give it 3 out of 5 stars

HOW TO: CO ORDS

Hello my lovelies, today's post is all about co-ords.

Co-ords are a trend that started early on this summer and have carried on into autumn. A co-ord usually consists of a patterned or block coloured top paired with some form of skirt, trouser or shorts in the same colour//pattern. The good thing about them is they are effortless to buy (stores have them paired up) because it is an outfit already put together for you.

In my recent outfits of the week video I included an all black co-ord outfit (http://youtu.be/1BcbRe_bB5w )but I actually purchased the top and skirt on two different occasions, if you can't seem to find the perfect co-ord then this is definitely the perfect alternative.

First you need a crop top. So I decided to go for a black one primarily because it is THE most common colour but you can find crop tops in nearly every high street store and in lots of colours.. The Crop Top I'm wearing for my co-ord is from +River Island  and it has like a fish net/mesh sleeving.

Then for your bottoms, you could wear a skirt, shorts or even trousers and I have gone for a skirt. My skirt is a high rise bodycon and I bought it from +ASOS  for around £16.00. It is made out of a stretchy jersey fabric, when I first ordered it I did have my doubts about the fitting but it works really well for my figure.

If you want to know more about the outfit you can watch the video over on my youtube channel:

Maroon Rouge Inspired

Recently I have fallen in love with the colour Maroon- something about it for me, screams autumn. Although it is not a colour I wear often I find it easy to pull an outfit together when I do.

My maroon top is from River Island which cost around £15 and is a ribbed crop top. Although it is cropped pairing it with high waisted jeans or high waisted leggings can easily solve the problem (if you don't wear crop tops). I also recommend wearing it with trousers that are black as it helps the maroon to stand out.
The trousers I am wearing are from Marks & Spencers and they are black leggings in long. These leggings are my favourite because they're thicker (to keep you warm), they are good quality and they make your booty look good(which is very important).
They also have a thick band at the top which makes them look a little more structured than your average pair of leggings.

I've thrown on my Grey Khaki Jacket which I purchased at Aeropostale, unfortunately they do not have a store in the UK and I purchased mine when I travelled to America. But there is no doubt you can pick up something similar from stores like TopShop, Zara and River Island (I highly recommend River Island for stylish Jackets- they last long as well).

On my feet I am wearing classic, black, Chelsea boots which I purchased from office and cost me around £40. These are my favourite boots to wear, they're so comfortable and they change the whole look of an outfit- I would definitely say, some form of ankle boots or Chelsea boots are a must for autumn! I am also carrying a metallic clutch purse which I purchased from Gap.

The really nice thing about autumn is you can wear a jacket and still wear your sunnies!

I am in love with these round sunglasses mainly because of how cheap they were and they make me feel  like a diva! I purchased my sunnies from Primark and they cost me a VERY affordable £4.99 (especially when certain stores are selling them for around £15) and the best part is I have received a lot of compliments on them and they've lasted for nearly a year (very surprising).

iSpyFashion

This is my first ever blogpost and I am really excited to be doing this. I've always been interested in fashion. I love experimenting with my style and trying new things because for me it is a way to express myself and it's not permanent; I can go from a  90's grunge chick to a preppy school girl and I find that so exciting!

For my first post I thought I would tell you guys a little bit about me, so here it is:

1.My Name is Jodie and I am 15 years old
2. I am British
3. I love YouTube; my favourite type of videos to watch are definitely fashion look books or daily vlogs.
4. My favourite YouTuber(s) would probably be  Patricia Bright because I love everything she wears and she inspires me and I also love MakeUpByMandy24 or MyLifeAsEva.
4. My favourite Season is Autumn/Winter because I love layering and I feel like fashion becomes more exciting the colder it gets.
5.I love playing team sports, my main sport is Lacrosse.
6. I'm into performing arts. (mainly drama- because I cannot, I repeat CANNOT sing!)
7.I love to talk, to anyone and everyone (I'm rarely quite).
8. I am a sucker for a black handbag (big bucket bag or small clutch it doesn't matter).
9. My favourite part about going out is getting ready- I find it so relaxing and satisfying.
10. I like making lists(like the one I just made) it makes me feel organised.
